Artist Statement:
I delight in creating glass beads and figures! Much of my inspiration comes from the natural world, often playing with animals or insects to make whimsical anthropomorphized glass characters. I use a torch to melt and shape glass rods to form a bead or character and then slowly cool the finished glass object in a kiln. It is exciting to combine my glass work with metals, semi-precious stones, and/or found objects to create wearable art or a beautiful one-of-a kind household object to be treasured.
